We have been owners at Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge since 2002 and have never regretted our decision to buy. In fact, we love it so much we purchased an additional fractional share in 2012. FKL was still being run by the developer when we originally bought in and having the association with Fairmont has been an added benefit. We have only traded time once (we love coming to Telluride so much!), but when we did trade it was a great experience. We have taken advantage of the ALL Accor Liv Limitless benefits many, many times and always get a preferential rate AND usually get a great upgrade.  Telluride is such a special, welcoming place. The skiing is fabulous, as are the golf and hiking the rest of the year. But what really is exceptional is the level of service we as members receive from the staff at FKL. I have never seen a place where the concept of customer service is better understood and executed. My husband and his two friends first experienced the Franz Klammer in 1996 and as a result three couples all became owners. Keeping an already formed friendship together and forming too many memories to mention, our friendships expanded among the FKL owners. Although we are fortunate to still be skiing; we found the other seasons to bring wonderful enjoyment from hiking to the Film Festival. We first bought 2 interests in fractional condos through Jean at the Franz Klammer Lodge in 2004. She patiently endured our long discussions and analysis of the property and worked hard to negotiate the right price. A few years later, she then helped us upgrade to the larger size/week allotment to accommodate our growing family and desire to spend more time in Telluride. Then, in about 2012, my husband and Jean started looking at other stand-alone homes and condos and must have considered more than a dozen over 6-7 years. Yet, I was never thrilled with any of them and didn’t want to leave the Klammer unless the new place was equally well-located in the core, user friendly with covered parking and an elevator, had ski-in ski-out access and separate living areas and porches for when the extended family from babies to grandparents piled in. Finally, while I was in town without the family in the summer of 2017, she called with a lead on what she thought could be the perfect house, but said we had to go right then because more buyers were looking at it asap. I walked in and within a minute, I knew it was the one. We got our offer in and closed quickly. Jean worked YEARS for this sale and never lost patience with us. She kept our interests at heart at every turn and for that I am grateful and give her the highest rating and recommendation possible. She is also cheery, honest and kind—and truly wants you to be happy. Well, we are! Jean will always be our realtor, although she did such a great job, I don’t think we’ll move to another vacation home!
